Furtados Music has always believed in being more than just a retail store for musical instruments. We believe in support local musicians and the local scene. We often host small shows and workshops etc at our outlets whenever possible.

We also really do want to support bands that buy their gear from us so if your band uses Furtados brands like ESP, Mapex, Pearl, Greg Bennett, Yamaha etc etc send us your band news from time to time, like if you release a new song on myspace which you recorded with your ESP guitar or if you get a big gig in your city and we'll feature you and your band in this newsletter. Furtados is very proud to announce that legendary drummer Ranjit Barrot and the prodigal Gino Banks along with veteran Sivamani are all endorsees for ZILDJIAN CYMBALS so look out for them on tour this year.

Bhayanak Maut is currently recording their brand new album. Venky and Aditya played their ESP SC - 607s through a Laney VH100R with an LV412S cabinet to get a monster guitar tone on the recording. Drummer Rahul Hariharan finished tracking his drums at Blue Frog Studios on his Mapex Saturn drumkit and Vinit used his ESP B405 on the recording. Produced by Anupam Roy releasing on August 1st. Look out for this one!!

Blues Legend Rudy Wallang & Tips from Soulmate who endorse Greg Bennett guitars released Soulmates new album 'Moving On' this month through Blue Frog Records and are touring the country to promote it.

Classic Rockers Vayu fronted by Ravi Iyer our PRS endorsee have also released their debut album 'Wings Of A Dream' which is available in all Furtados outlets along with copies of 'Khooni Murga' the debut album of comedy rockers Workshop featuring ESP endorse Demonstealer and Mapex Clinician Hamza Kazi in the band.
