'An Inconvenient Truth' by Davis Guggenheim – 100' – 2006

dear all

the november ciné liberté presents an evening around the environmental issue of climate change in collaboration with 'The Climate Project – India' days before the UN Climate Change Conference (COP15) will be held.

The film that will be screened is 'An Inconvenient Truth' by Davis Guggenheim – 100' – 2006

Director Davis Guggenheim eloquently waves the science of global warming with Mr. Gore's personal history and lifelong commitment to reversing the effects for climate change. A longtime advocate for the environment, Gore presents a wide array of facts and information in a thoughtful and compelling way. “Al Gore strips his presentations of politics, laying out the facts for the audience to draw their own conclusion in a charming, funny and engaging style and by the end has everyone on the edge of their seats, gripped by the haunting message” said Guggenheim. 'An Inconvenient Truth' is not a story of despair but rather a rallying cry to protect the one Earth we shall share. 'It is now clear that we face a deepening global climate crisis that requires us to act boldly, quickly and wisely' said Gore.

Speakers and moderator from 'The Climate Project India'.

The Climate Project India (TCP-India) is a chapter of the international non-profit organization founded by Nobel Laureate Al Gore in June 2006. It is dedicated to calling attention to what it believes are global problems associated with climate change.

The film will be followed by an interactive presentation bringing the global issues presented in the film to the Indian context.
