Books on Toast - Book Donation Drive and Sale January 21, 2012

Book lovers! You know how you've walked into bookstores, looked at the hideous prices and wondered how much your liver will fetch in the black market?

WE ARE HERE TO SAVE YOU FROM LOSING YOUR LIVER. (You can drink to that.)

All you have to do is this:

1. If you have excess books, donate them. Give us books you've read, liked and want to share. Or don't have space for.

2. How to donate? We have book drop-off points in:
- Thane
- Bandra (W)
- Bandra (E)
- Andheri (W)
- Dadar
- Town (Flora Fountain area)
- Chembur
- Juhu

Email us on booksontoast@gmail.com, tell us which centre and WE WILL SEND YOU THE CONTACT'S NAME AND NUMBER. Co-ordinate, donate and celebrate! WE'RE COLLECTING BOOKS TILL 18th JANUARY.

3. Come to the book sale. We will sell the books on 21st and 22nd January at the Pali Naka Candies (who are letting us have the space for free, because they're awesome) for dirt cheap. Like, pyjamas at Colaba Causeway cheap. Or hooker outside Ghatkopar station cheap.

All proceeds will go to Hamara Footpath - a community group that works towards educating street kids in Churchgate. Know more about them here:

LAST DATE FOR DONATING BOOKS IS WEDNESDAY, 18TH JANUARY.

A few dos and don'ts:

- Pretty please don't bring in books that're falling apart or missing pages. That's cheating a good cause. Bring books you won't hesitate to buy.

- No magazines/ newspapers/ flyers/ visiting cards/ bus tickets.

- Don't bargain. Nice people don't bargain at charity events. It's very downmarket.
