Hi all,
SPROUTS is organising a mega-event, the Flamingo and Wader Watch, at Sewri Bay on Feb 05, 2012. The half day event is from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

While the magnificent flamingos come from Kutch to our island city, there are many other wader species which travel all the way from Europe to this crowded place for the winters. The flat delta of the Mahul River provide a perfect feeding habitat for these birds. On a good day you can easily spot about 50 different birds from the jetty.

Interested participants can directly come to Sewri Jetty. (But please do confirm your booking as we are arranging for reference material for all.)

Cost:The cost for people coming directly to Sewri Jetty is Rs. 50 for students below 21yrs and members and Rs. 100 for adults and non-members. This includes reference material and expert guidance.

PS: Everyone should carry a cap/hat and a bottle of water with them as it can get very warm as the sun comes up.
